When people travel, they generally look for things like: warm weather, nice views and a big shopping mall. When I travel, I do things a bit differently. I go to places that match the energy of what I would like to have, do and be in life. What if you were to get the feel of what you would like to create in your life and found destinations that matched that? For example, I enjoy being around riches and so that is one of the reasons I choose to be in Houston so much of the time. It has a wonderful, generative feel to it and it is a very easy place for me to be. Houston is one of the wealthiest cities in the world, it has a low unemployment rate and it is very entrepreneur centred. This matches the energy of what I would like to create.
Do you ever find that when you spend time around people you adapt to be more like them? When you spend your time and attention thinking about something, you start bringing more of that in to your life, even if you are not conscious you are doing it. When I am around people and places with as much money as there is in Houston, it inspires me daily to create more.
What would it be like for you to spend more time around money? Would it invite you to familiarize yourself with it and welcome it more? One of the reasons people do not choose to be rich is because it is so unfamiliar, they cannot even imagine what it would be like to have that in their lives. When you become a lot richer than you already are , it is not just your bank account that changes.
Here are some questions for you to ask yourself:
Were your answers to the first question very different to the last?
You do not have to know down to the very bone exactly what time you would eat breakfast and who you would be talking to. The aim of this exercise is to get you to see how different your life would be if you had much more money than you currently do. That can be very scary for a lot of people. I like to look at it as fun and exciting.
