Whenever money is mentioned feelings and emotions arise. Money has such a charge on it, things such as worry, shame, guilt, lack, exhaustion and despair will often come up when talking about money.
What feelings do you have around money? Every feeling you have, even the positive ones, will lock you in.
We are often more willing to let go of feelings and emotions labelled as negative such as sadness, worry, anxiety, and doubt because these do not serve us as much and are not generally pleasant to be around. It is when we feel content, comfortable and satisfied that we hold onto it because we judge it as we are doing good. We have enough, things and working and if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right? Not necessarily!
Feelings are a limitation for what we can create and they are designed to keep us in our comfort zone. Feelings are a conclusion and there is never question in them. In order to create money, you always have to be in question.
How often have you not done something because you didn’t feel like it? Or not chosen something because the timing wasn’t right? What if instead, you asked a question?
Your challenge for the next week is every time a feeling around money arises, ask a question! Some questions I like to ask are:
What if you had no feelings around money and functioned from allowance and question? What would your money situation look like then?
Let me know how you go!
