How grateful are you for everything today? The bed you woke up in? What the weather is doing? The city you live in? How much money you have in your bank?
Gary Douglas says: Gratitude grows gratitude in others, without gratitude you cannot receive. The greater your gratitude, the more money you can have.
Do you always focus on the things that you don't have? It is great to look at what you would like to create, but if you don't look at what you have already created, you can only receive so much. How much more money could you receive if you had gratitude for everything?
Gratitude does not exclude. It is a sense of thankfulness for the abundance of life, the good, the bad and the ugly. It is being grateful for the things you asked for and the things you didn't. It is not selective. It is not being grateful for some things in life but not others. That is judgment. You cannot be in gratitude and judgment at the same time...
The more you are willing to receive, the more you allow to contribute to you, your living and your money flows!
How do you feel when you do something for someone and they appreciate it a lot? Does it make you happy and willing to do it again next time they ask? Now, what about a person who just complains it was not done right or is not enough? Are you happy to keep doing things for them? Maybe not. Money is very much the same.
How much money would you like to have? In order to have that, you have to be grateful for your money situation where it is right now. Even if you have decided it is not enough. Often we think we will be grateful for money and happy in life when we have a certain amount of it, but is that light or heavy for you? What if you chose to be happy now, regardless of how much money you had? What if you were just grateful for all the money you have right now? Money follows joy! Not the other way around. If you cannot appreciate what you have already created, chances are you will have a hard time creating much more than what you have now.
Gratitude is inclusive of everything and everyone. If you are being gratitude, you are in total allowance. When you do not judge you open the door for more possibilities to show up. Let's use people for example. You would not refuse clients by how they dress, their age etc. You would not make yourself wrong or immoral for taking money from someone who does not have much money. You would not refuse money from family because that would be a 'handout'. These are judgments. You would be grateful for money for showing up. How many ways have you refused money? You can change that!
Next time someone offers to buy you a drink or take you out, simply smile and say thank you. See what it does in their world! See what can show up when you do not judge the situation but instead choose to be grateful. It may change your entire financial situation!
