What if the world of your finances does not dictate the way you see money?
What if the way you are currently looking at money IS creating the world around you with your finances?
What if adapting and conforming to have the same points of views as everyone else limits your money flows. As much as we care our family, friends, teachers, religion, and culture, we adopt their thinking automatically often without being aware of how these views will influence our choices in the future.
For a long time I just thought that how I see things is how I see things. I didn’t know I could choose to change the way I see the world. I thought my point of view was my identity, who I was and that they were just going to be the same forever.
There are unlimited different points of views surrounding money and If you wish to make changes in the way you see things that would make you more money, you have to honestly and truthfully evaluate the money beliefs you have operating in your world in this current moment. the points of view of money you had as child may have worked in a kids world, But as an adult are the same points of view that were once so easy now working against you?
The more willing you are to change a point of view that limits you, the more you see from a different space and that space will allow you to have more money flow into your life easier and more joyfully.
Our lives are constantly bombarded by people with judgements about money which becomes embedded on a subconscious level. I used to believe money was bad and the root of all evil and was responsible for my unhappiness and lack in my life. I found myself often referring to those who are extremely wealthy as “filthy rich,” as if having great wealth makes them dirty.
I realized one day that this wasn’t an original thought, but I had heard it from another person. Then I realized that they probably heard it from another person as well and so on. Who knows where it started.
Seeing the silliness of this made me step out of this fixed view on wealth riches. I realized that looking at the world this way would never allow me to be rich because I didn’t want to be one of these people. This way of seeing the world was keeping me from creating riches and wealth I knew was possible. So I changed my point of view and it changed my finances.
What are your points of view about money that keep you from having more?
What do my words create?
We create our lives through our spoken words. Words contain energy and carry motion into our world. Please begin to pay attention to the words you speak. What comes out of your mouth expresses your points of view—and your points of view create your reality.
Paying attention to the words you use is about getting clear about what you are creating in your life. The use of language is one of the major ways people create limitations for themselves in this reality.
How do you gain greater awareness of the words you speak and what it creates as your financial reality?
Start being aware of what words you say when you talk about money and financial reality. Pay attention to where you align and agree with media and where you resist and react.
Once you are aware of the words you use, ask yourself is this what I would like to create as my financial reality?
If you words like need, want, and but create you having less money on a daily basis.
"Need" creates greed. "Want" creates lack. And "But" dismisses everything you said before it. How often do you find yourself say "I would like to have more money in my bank account, BUT I don't have time to add more to my life that would make me more money"? "But" is just one of the elements that create you current financial reality in this sentence. The fundamental conclusion here is that you need to work more to have more ... What if it is a lie that is perpetrated that you agreed and aligned with? What if you need to ask for greater possibilities of creating more financially without an assumption that it will involve more work?
What if you could function from "what else is possible here?" ?
3 steps to growing a money brain:
1. You must educate yourself about money and how it functions.
This will open up a space for you to see the myths, lies, and fears making your financial decisions. You may be extremely uncomfortable! But when you stop trusting blindly what you’ve been told…you will start trusting your own awareness of what you know and don’t know. Then you have control of your money and future.
One of the fastest ways to educate yourself is by asking questions. Ask questions until you have clarity with your situation.
2. Eliminate as much Confusion about money as possible
Confusion = Missing Information.
Having adequate information creates ease. Do not ignore your knowing.
Ask yourself these questions:
This list will keep growing. You may be surprised at how much you actually would like to learn.
3. Be willing to ask for help.
Educating yourself doesn’t mean you have to know it all…you just need to be willing to ask questions.
Many of your capacities with money have been sleeping… or hidden behind what you may have perceived as ‘bad’ decisions. What if your brilliance about money has been waiting for YOU?
As you grow up, you entrain yourself to your environment – you mold to its beliefs and structures. Beliefs about money come from everywhere - parents, friends, school, newspapers, TV, internet, etc. As an adult, you carry everything you have learned with you. But you don’t question most beliefs, they simply become WHO YOU ARE and you keep living and making decisions based on them. This has created your current financial reality.
When presented with a belief you have two choices: you either align & agree OR resist & react. Either way, you become stuck. How? Whatever you decide is true becomes YOU – your identity. And so you think, act and react as if you were the belief; it becomes the wallpaper of your mind.
What if the foundation for your financial reality is as easy to change as…changing your points of view?
Let’s look at this from an energetic perspective. When you align and agree OR resist and react to a point of view/belief, you create a polarity. Meaning, there is a polarity to the belief, based on your assumption of an opposite belief existing…you don’t want to believe.
Whatever belief you choose, that belief attracts information it matches. This takes you out of choice! Because you just keep attracting and piling on more information of the same colour and flavour.
What do I know about money?
What do I not know about money?
When you ask these questions, what will show up are your points of view about money and finances. Keep asking these questions for NEW INFORMATION that will open up a door for you to recognize more possibilities and places to explore – beyond what you have concluded you already know and don’t know.
I am very grateful that I had a chance to contribute to the creation of a documentary about Governor Ann Richards. It was an incredible gift. Recently, I have been asked a lot why I would invest in a creation of a movie. Here are 4 reasons:
Curry Glassell was the executive producer of Illegal Movie.
Through a series of interviews with undocumented kids, activists, policymakers, non-profit leaders, educators and members of the clergy Illegal seeks to raise the consciousness level of the American public regarding the importance of full immigration reform beginning with the Dream Act.
Though an important step was taken with the president's order to halt the deportations of some young undocumented residents, we must remember that his executive order could change as early as January under a new administration. What is necessary is a law that provides a path to citizenship for these young people. Our work is far from over.
